  • 🦋 What is Tone Morphing!? How do I use it!? What can I create with it!? Great questions… Here is our very own Alfie Bradic taking a deeper look at Neutone Morpho and how to get the most from the tool in your creative pursuits! Enjoy our new Neutone Morpho walkthrough video! 😊 Follow the link below to see the full video 📺 🍿 https://lnkd.in/epBjK3Y5

  • We had the absolute pleasure of working with Anders Bargum, an incredible talent who spearheaded cutting-edge research in neural sampling/synthesis technologies during his internship with us. It's humbling to remind ourselves of the wider affect these technologies can have: Where the same technologies that provide artists with tools for expression can also be used to help those that are suffering. Anders, we wish you the absolute best with the rest of your PhD research and excited to see the outcome of your endeavour. Please come visit us as soon as possible! Sending love from Tokyo 🗼 ❤️ Thank you Multisensory Experience Lab, Innovation Fund Denmark, Heka VR, Stefania Serafin and Cumhur Erkut and everyone involved in helping facilitate Anders' internship with us! 🙏🏻

#InternationalCollaboration 🌍 At Heka VR, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of immersive VR-based therapy. By integrating cutting-edge AI-driven voice modulation, we aim to enhance the experience for our patients, helping them better confront their fears and voices during avatar therapy sessions. Over the past three months, our PhD student, Anders Bargum, had the incredible opportunity to conduct part of his doctoral research on AI-based speech manipulation at Qosmo/Neutone in Tokyo, Japan. In close collaboration with their research team, he worked on audio representation and disentanglement, conditional auto-encoders, and neural, streamable F0 extraction—applied to both music instrument transfer (tone-morphing) and voice conversion. If you're into the nerdy technical details, Anders is the person to ask! Feel free to reach out—he's always happy to share insights about his amazing developments in AI-driven voice modulation. 🎙️ Anders also shares his experience: "During my stay, the Neutone team gave me a warm welcome. Collaborating with researchers who share the same interests and have such a high level of expertise was an enriching experience. The visit was not only professionally rewarding but also personally fulfilling. I look forward to incorporating the knowledge and skills gained into my future research on voice conversion and speech manipulation for Heka VR." This collaboration exemplifies the value of international research exchange, fostering innovation and advancing the field. A big thanks to Neutone, Multisensory Experience Lab at Aalborg University, and Innovation Fund Denmark for making this happen! Special appreciation to Andrew Fyfe from Neutone for hosting Anders, and of course Stefania Serafin and Cumhur Erkut — great scientific leads and friends of Heka VR—who continue to drive innovation in avatar therapy from a sound engineering perspective. Your expertise and dedication are invaluable to advancing our work! #AI #VoiceModulation #VR #MentalHealth #Innovation #InternationalCollaboration #HekaVR

Wow! The first Music AI Meetup in Asia was a huge success! Over 140 people attended Sony City Osaki to jam out their research and exchange ideas! ✨ I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the biggest in the biz Yamaha Corporation, SonyAI and Sony CSL Music Team introducing new-kid-on-the-block, Neutone to the community. Inspiring talks from legends Masataka Goto and Nao Tokui! What a line-up! 💚 We talked dreams and aspirations for music culture and stressed the importance of inventing artist tools that explore new expressions and experiences. Such a warm and welcoming response from everyone who listened, thank you so much ありがとうございます ☺️ I was ecstatic to meet so many like-minded creatives and researchers that share our vision! An endless supply of inspiring conversations about the future of Music AI and tech. So much more to come from this in the future! Thank you Junghyun Koo and team for organising the 'Tokyo Music AI Gathering'! We needed this! Looking forward to many more meetups and to helping you build this community! Audiovisual Artist || Concept Developer || Experiential Design || Designing concepts and rhythym based compositions with moving image, sound, and emerging technologies.

I’ve noticed a growing curiosity from my film and animation colleagues about the intersection of AI and sound design, so I thought I’d share documentation a few insights from my recent Sound Design residency (link below). A month ago, I immersed myself in exploring AI-trained VSTs like Neutone, Rave VST, and Magenta DDSP and their creative potential. While I’m more experimental than technical, this residency pushed me to think differently and expand my the possibilities in my sound design. A highlight was developing my own sample library—from NASA astronaut conversations to Latin percussion drums and abstract noises. These sounds now add unique layers to my projects and could inspire new approaches to sound in animation and film. I even made a sample pack—DM me if you’d like a copy (especially if you use Ableton!). For me, this residency was about opening new doors for sonic experimentations, finding innovative ways to tell stories through sounds. For me, the residency wasn’t just about tools; it was about using AI to unlock fresh ways of storytelling and connecting creativity with technology. I hope these notes can spark ideas for others. thanks to Curiosibot Lab, Culture Moves Europe, and Goethe-Institut e.V. https://lnkd.in/dXBw6dvV #SoundDesign #AI #AbletonLive #CreativityAndTechnology
